From Pelican Beach, guests can walk from directly from shore to snorkel among colorful corals and brilliant schools of fish. Belizean-style wooden cottages, named for resident bird species, are spacious, airy and cooled by trade winds and ceiling fans. En suite baths have basin, toilet and tiled showers with hot and cold water. Private shaded verandas are positioned to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, while hammocks and lounge chairs invite relaxing. All Pelican Beach facilities utilize "green technology" in the form of solar-powered lighting, flash heaters for hot showers, and environmentally friendly waste facilities including composting and waste transfer back to the mainland for disposal.
