Key Urla
Location
Urla, Turkey
Rows of mature vines spread across the hillsides of Kuscular, a farming district outside Urla known for wine production and olive groves. Here, guest villas sit within this working vineyard landscape, connected by paths that lead to the winery, wine cellar, restaurant and shared outdoor spaces. The property's relationship with the land is tangible throughout, from the vineyards to the wines poured at dinner and the ingredients sourced from nearby producers.
The villas are designed with a restrained palette of wood, stone and glass. Wood-paneled walls, high ceilings, wide-plank floors and soft lighting create warm, uncluttered interiors. Large windows bring in natural light throughout the day, while glass doors open onto private patios facing the vineyards. Accommodations include king beds, sitting areas, underfloor heating, climate control, high-speed Wi-Fi, LED televisions, minibars, coffee machines, safes, bathrobes, slippers and marble bathrooms with walk-in showers.
The restaurant draws heavily from the surrounding region, sourcing ingredients from small local producers and cooking many dishes in a wood-fired stone oven. Wines from the estate and the broader Urla wine region feature prominently, with tastings held in the wine cellar. Additional amenities include an infinity pool overlooking the vineyards, a traditional hammam, dry sauna, treatment rooms, fitness center and padel. The resort treads lightly on the environment with rainwater collection systems, biological water treatment that allows water reuse for irrigation and energy-efficient technologies.
