Secluded within 113 acres of pristine wild land adjacent to Flinders Chase National Park, Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat offers comfortable accommodations immersed in nature. The lodge is surrounded by an extensive network of walking trails through the eucalyptus forest (look up to spot koalas!), and wildlife is frequently on view in the natural bush courtyard that's surrounded by guest suites. Suites have balconies that are ideal for observing the wallabies and possums that frequent the area at night. Rooms have king beds, en suite bathroom, TV, DVD player, air conditioning and a safe. The on-site restaurant offers a locavore menu sourced with ingredients from Kangaroo Island and the surrounding waters, including free-range meats, freshly caught fish, artisan bread, cheeses, jams and chutneys, plus Kangaroo Island wines.
