In the quiet sanctum of La Palmeraie on the outskirts of Marrakesh, Jnane Tamsna is set on nine beautifully landscaped acres within a private estate. The property comprises 24 elegant guest suites in three locations: Jnane House, Jnane Moussafir and Jnane Salmia. The dominant aesthetic is a minimalist approach to classic Moroccan splendor, incorporating traditional style and colors to achieve a serene, contemporary look. Jnane interiors fuse Oriental, African and European influences and sensibilities, using natural materials, traditional techniques and dark and light textures to create a sense of harmony. The lavishly landscaped grounds feature five pools, a clay-surface tennis court, and a traditional hammam (Moroccan steam bath) with treatment rooms for massage and beauty therapy. Meals highlight creative combinations of Moroccan and contemporary European fare, using locally sourced produce from Jnane Tamsna’s own gardens wherever possible.
