In a secluded setting surrounded by wild nature, Hotel 1001 nott is a luxury boutique hotel overlooking Lake Lagarfljot, a few miles outside Egilstadir. The family owners have been intimately involved with designing the property, building in features that enhance harmony with nature, such as floor-to-ceiling windows in the spacious 240-square-foot guest rooms that bring the view in and flood the space with natural light. Each room has a private entrance and patio off the hotel garden. Rooms have one double or two twin beds, an en suite bathroom with glass and tile shower, a mini bar, and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant on site serves Icelandic dishes homemade from fresh local ingredients in a rustic-modern setting, with a panoramic view of the lake. Enjoy the same view over fine drinks in the bar and cognac lounge, with a wood stove to add ambience when the weather is chillier.
