Dar Al Miraaj
Location
Rabat, Morocco
Set within Rabat’s UNESCO-listed medina, Dar Al Miraaj is an intimate 11-room riad restored with zellige tilework, carved plaster, cedarwood and woven textiles that reflect Morocco’s decorative traditions. The property retains the scale and character of a private residence, with quiet interior spaces designed around traditional materials and craftsmanship.
Guest rooms pair Moroccan design with contemporary comfort. Cedarwood headboards, traditional carpets and natural bejmat floors create a warm, understated setting, while private bathrooms feature Italian marble showers.
Breakfast is served in the Salon des Ambassadeurs and draws on Moroccan culinary traditions. Depending on the day, guests may be served warm breads such as harcha, msemen and beghrir, along with homemade preserves, olives, beldi cheese, fresh juice, mint tea and pastries scented with orange blossom, honey and almonds.
Dar Al Miraaj also offers a traditional hammam experience using black soap and rhassoul clay. Led by experienced therapists, the ritual includes cleansing and exfoliation and offers guests an introduction to a longstanding Moroccan wellness tradition.
Located a short distance from the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the riad offers convenient access to Rabat’s historic architecture, markets and cultural sites while providing a quiet retreat within the medina.
