In the rolling hills outside Marsala, this boutique hotel is set in the vineyards of a restored 19th-century farm estate built around a central courtyard. It overlooks the Stagnone di Marsala, a coastal lagoon and nature reserve, and the Egadi Islands beyond. The historic vineyard estate produces wines from native grape varieties, like zibibbo, grillo, perricone and Nero d’Avola. A stone terrace and outdoor infinity pool offer views of the vineyards, countryside, Marsala salt pans and the Mediterranean coast beyond.

Inside, the historic estate’s lobby features arched stone ceilings, inviting leather furniture, and soft lighting. A sleek addition houses the wine cellars, where a large glass-enclosed tasting room and temperature-controlled wine storage sit beneath a curved roofline that echoes the shape of a bottle. Guest rooms are air-conditioned and feature either pastel interiors or rough-hewn stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings, Wi-Fi, a mini-bar, a wooden wardrobe and queen beds. Windows open to views of the vineyards, while tiled en suite bathrooms have walk-in showers.

Menus include shrimp tartare with citrus, wild boar ragu, pasta with homemade almond pesto and fish couscous. At breakfast, choose from Sicilian meats and cheeses or fresh pastries with homemade fruit preserves. In addition to certified organic grapes and wine, the estate produces organic orange and mandarin marmalade, extra virgin olive oil, honey, capers and bread and pasta made with ancient Sicilian grains still grown on site. A wastewater collection and reuse system helps conserve water. The estate has photovoltaic solar panels and purchases any additional energy from 100% renewable sources.
