Secluded Botswana Safari
A Small-Group Wildlife Adventure into the Heart of the African Wilderness
Botswana offers an experience of Africa as it used to be. Far away from tourist crowds, we find the wonders that drew adventurers to the continent decades ago. Vast herds of elephants still roam the acacia-studded savanna. Antelope, giraffe and buffalo thrive in the wetlands of the Okavango Delta and at watering holes that sustain life on the dry plains. Lions laze beneath mopane trees, an icon of a wild state that's vanishing all too quickly in the contemporary world. Classic tented safari camps offer luxuries reminiscent of a nostalgic era in the African bush. You'll find it all here still, in secluded Botswana.

Group Size Limit
Approximately 8 Travelers
A very important feature of this African safari is the limited group size as a guided tour is best experienced with a small group of travelers.
Our Specialized 4 x 4 Land Rovers or Land Cruisers
An essential element of this safari is our use of a combination of two specialized vehicles during different parts of the trip, allowing for the unmatched game viewing opportunities promised by Natural Habitat Adventures. At times, we will travel in semi-open-sided 4 x 4 Stretch Land Cruisers or Land Rovers, allowing for enhanced game viewing and a comfortable and safe ride over the sometimes uneven terrain of Botswana's desert and delta environs. Roof hatches add to the open safari experience, while additional comfort is ensured with secured drop-down plastic flaps used during longer transfers to provide respite from dust or rain. We will also use open 4 x 4 Land Rovers or Land Cruisers, with a unique suspension system and an open-top, open-sided, tiered seating arrangement, specially-designed to maximize game viewing opportunities and comfort.
Both kinds of vehicles have 10 cushioned passenger seats, one in front next to the driver, followed by three rows of three seats each, though we limit our capacity to just eight travelers, again for maximum comfort and viewing. Both offer a mini-fridge stocked with cold drinks and a small library with reference books and field guides. Each custom-built vehicle sports front bull bars and runner boards, as well as a full recovery kit, including spare tires and a high lift jack. Vehicles are updated or replaced regularly and meticulously maintained to provide our guests with an unmatched safari experience.

Important Information
This consummate safari includes Botswana’s best and most remote wildlife locales while staying in higher-end accommodations. Each is small and intimate (usually accommodating only our small group of eight guests) with full electricity and private bathrooms with hot and cold running water. The accommodations are a highlight of the trip following on the amazing wildlife experiences discovered by our Expedition Leaders throughout the day. On these trips, changes to the itinerary may occur in order to take advantage of conditions unique to the season and/or accommodate unexpected changes in water levels; therefore, itineraries may need to be rerouted or redesigned without notice.
