Eric Ramirez

Eric is a passionate and adventurous marine biologist. He was born in México City and grew up in Morelia. Living just a few hours from the coast, Eric heard the ocean’s call when he was just a child. This prompted him to move to La Paz for college, where he studied marine biology. Evolution, animal behavior, ecology and genetics were the topics that attracted his attention the most, leading him to work for two years in a genetics lab, where he spent his time evaluating fish populations.

Eventually, life led Eric to guiding, which turned out to be his vocation. Since then, he has guided camping trips, snorkeling excursions and hikes, among other adventures. His main goal in life is combining science with tourism to spread knowledge through experiences in nature. He guides Nat Hab’s monarch butterfly and whale shark trips in Mexico.

When he isn’t guiding, Eric enjoys hiking with his friends and family, reading about nature, cooking and traveling with his girlfriend.
