Your Victoria Falls adventure begins with a scheduled charter flight from the Okavango Delta to Kasane, Botswana. You'll then head over the border in a private transfer, traveling by road to our luxurious boutique hotel on the Zimbabwe side of the Zambezi Gorge. Victoria Falls is accessible via a casual walk from our accommodations, as is the town of the same name. Staying so close, you're likely to see mist clouds rising off the falls from your private patio. Meanwhile, the hotel's tranquil manicured gardens are frequented by warthogs, impala and sometimes even hippos that come to graze on the lawn.
Day 2: Victoria Falls
Our day begins with a visit to Victoria Falls, the world’s most astounding cataract, on a guided walking tour. The falls are surrounded by Victoria Falls National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The misty park’s apt name means “The Smoke that Thunders,” and the profuse spray has created a rain forest that we'll explore along the gorge rim. A network of walkways provides varying viewpoints over the falls that span more than a mile wide. Later this afternoon, take in the Southern Africa sunset during a cruise on the placid Zambezi River.
