Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Travelers must be able to walk continuously for 2 miles unassisted and should expect to walk a total of 3-6 miles per day in order to participate fully in the itinerary
Walks range from 1-4 miles each; travelers should expect 2-4 cumulative hours of physical activity on most days
Most walks are at a leisurely pace with guided interpretation and will be escorted by two guides
Terrain includes dirt paths, pavement, and grass fields, sometimes including rolling hills and wet or soggy stretches
On some walks, travelers may need to step up and over a wooden stile—a low barrier that restricts livestock but allows human passage—which may require good knee and hip mobility, although the assistance of a stepstool and guide will be available
For walks longer than 2 miles, shorter alternatives will be available or an alternative activity will be facilitated
Longer or additional walks will be offered for more active travelers at most locations or during free time at the hotel
Travel by van or mini-coach
Transport is mostly on paved roads, with some well-maintained dirt roads
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers
Travelers must be fully mobile with good balance and be physically independent
Climate is moderate with daytime temps ranging from the 50s to 70s°F—with occasional heat waves in summer—and rain possible year-round
Overnight temps are cooler but generally mild
