Botswana & Zimbabwe Explorer

A Classic Botswana Safari Adventure—Plus Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park!
10 Days From $9995 (+internal air)
Can you imagine the sight and sound of a hundred elephants marching by your Land Rover at close range? In the wilds of Botswana, that’s not unheard of. Botswana, along with neighboring Zimbabwe, offers a safari experience evocative of an earlier era, when the African wilderness was uncrowded and synonymous with pure adventure. Our intimate tented camps make that possible still, situated deep in the bush where a multitude of wildlife resides, from rare sitatunga antelope to regal prides of lion. A commitment to small-scale safari travel is sustaining vast animal populations in Botswana, and Zimbabwe's prolific wildlife is making great strides as a conservation ethos within the country continues to grow. Join us on this exclusive safari into wildlife realms few visitors reach, and be part of that eco-success story!

What's So Distinctive About This Safari?

When you dream of an African safari, do you picture wildlife roaming at the edge of your classic tented camp, surrounded by an endless expanse of wilderness? That’s what this exclusive adventure offers, with a focus on Botswana’s most remote private reserves, plus a visit to Hwange National Park in neighboring Zimbabwe, not on the standard safari circuit. Here's what makes this safari stand out:

  1. A Maximum of Seven Travelers
Nothing is more important for an authentic experience of nature than a limited group size. With a maximum of just seven guests plus our Expedition Leader, the sense of being alone in the wilderness, where it's just us and the wildlife, is palpable.
  2. Private Reserves—Plus Hwange National Park—Offer Remote Locales & Exclusive Activities
We avoid more heavily visited national parks and concentrate instead on uncrowded private reserves. Our intimate tented camps are located in isolated natural settings amid abundant wildlife, which we encounter not only on traditional daytime drives, but also on guided bush walks and night drives in search of nocturnal creatures—activities that are permitted only in private settings.
  3. A Diverse Itinerary Designed for Variety
Our itinerary is carefully crafted to maximize your experience of varied wildlife habitats—and we include Victoria Falls, too. From the Zambezi River’s elephant-filled channels to the open grasslands of Linyanti with its herds and predators, from the flooded marshlands of the Okavango Delta to the savannas of Hwange with its abundant buffalo, you’ll encounter new scenes and species every day.
  4. An Open "Window" Seat for Everyone
We make sure you have access to an unimpeded view. The top-quality safari vehicles we charter have open sides (no glass to interfere with your view) and nine cushioned passenger seats—one in front next to the driver, followed by two rows of three seats each and a pair of seats at the back. On wildlife drives, we limit our capacity to just seven travelers in each vehicle for maximum comfort, viewing and photo opportunities.
  5. Chartered Flights for Comfort & Convenience
Rather than making you endure long, rough overland drives, we maximize your safari time with chartered light aircraft transfers between camps and regions. You'll enjoy some amazing vistas from the air, too!
