Accommodations, meals from dinner on Day 1 through breakfast on final day, safe drinking water, services of NHA’s Expedition Leader, local guides and lodge staff, private charter flight on Day 7 from the North to South Pantanal, some gratuities, airport transfers, park entrance fees and permits, all taxes.

While this trip does not require a substantial degree of physical fitness, in order to participate fully in this itinerary, guests should be able to undertake several walks and hikes that are typically two to three miles in length, over mostly flat and dry but sometimes uneven terrain. The longest walk is in the Pantanal, three miles over flat terrain. Brazil can be very hot and humid and guests will often spend several hours on walks, drives or boat rides. Sturdy walking shoes with good traction are recommended. All activities are optional.
Important Information About This Trip
Getting There & Getting Home
This trip begins in Rio de Janeiro and ends in Sao Paulo.
Arrival: Arrive in Rio de Janeiro by 4 pm for orientation dinner beginning at 7 pm on Day 1.
Departure: Depart Sao Paulo (airport code GRU) after 11:30 pm on Day 10.*
*If you wish to take a red-eye flight on Day 10 back to the U.S., please understand there are only a couple nonstop options that depart at 11:30 pm or later. Our Travel Desk has held space on the internal flight you will take on Day 10 of the trip from Campo Grande to Sao Paulo (scheduled to land at 9:55 pm) so if you do wish to take a red-eye, it is strongly recommended that Natural Habitat makes your reservation because our Travel Desk can combine the internal and international flight onto one ticket. This will allow you to be protected on a different flight should the internal flight be delayed or cancelled and it will also allow you to check your luggage in Campo Grande all the way to your final destination. If you wish to depart the next day, we have room blocks at an airport hotel and can assist with booking an extra night for you.
We can best serve you if our Natural Habitat Adventures Travel Desk makes your reservations, as we are intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient travel. Please call us at 800-543-8917. Note that while we offer you the best possible rates available to us on airfare and additional nights' accommodations, you may find special web rates or better fares online.
