Epic Botswana & Namibia Safari

An All-Encompassing Adventure Featuring Southern Africa's Most Diverse Wildlife & Scenery
This is the ultimate southern African safari. A small group of just seven travelers will spend a fortnight crossing a vast tract of Africa’s prime wildlife regions on a journey that evokes the classic safaris of old. Though we stay in out-of-the-way locales where we see far more big game than people, our deluxe tented camps are the apex of comfort and conviviality in the bush. There is no Africa itinerary that offers more diversity than this: from the Namib Desert to the waterways of the Okavango Delta, teeming with life, experience Africa at its most primal and magnetic.

Trip Highlights

  • From the deserts and dunes of Namibia to the emerald marshes of Botswana, marvel at Africa’s astonishing ecological diversity
  • Enjoy classic 4x4 drives and bush walks with our Expedition Leaders for superb animal encounters in the best wildlife regions of these two contrasting countries
  • Stay in comfort at the finest small-group luxury bush camps in remote and secluded areas—for the optimal safari experience
Why Nat Hab Offers Your Ultimate Safari Experience
A chance to see the premier natural highlights of both Botswana and Namibia in a single itinerary sets this safari apart—but that alone isn't what makes this trip so impressive. At every turn, we offer a superior safari experience, in a multitude of ways. Here's how:

  1. Maximum Group Size Just 7 Travelers!
Nature travel is best experienced in small groups, and we run this safari with no more than seven guests. This exceptionally small group size ensures the most personalized safari experience possible, in remote places not accessible to larger groups.
  2. The Most Comprehensive Namibia & Botswana Itinerary—Focused on Wildlife
This carefully crafted itinerary, honed with years of experience and with the participation of World Wildlife Fund, combines the absolute best highlights of these two epic safari countries. You won’t experience a more varied or more thrilling set of places and activities than on this incomparable Southern Africa adventure. And, since our focus is nature and wildlife, that's where we spend our time and energy, not in big cities.
  3. Private Reserves Offer Exclusive Activities
Rather than focus on heavily visited national parks that most safari companies focus on, we enjoy solitude and freedom on private reserves. From Namibia’s private Ongava and Kulala Wilderness reserves we are able to quickly enter prime locations within the national parks while enjoying the quiet context and abundant wildlife of these adjacent concessions. We also enjoy special activities not permitted in the national parks, such as night drives in search of nocturnal animals. The same is true in Botswana on private reserves in the Moremi and Linyanti regions, where we relish seclusion with unmatched wildlife viewing opportunities.
  4. Exploration on Foot
Within the private concessions we visit, we can explore the African bush on guided walking excursions, an activity not permitted in the public reserves. It’s an otherwise rare chance to stretch your legs while on safari. You may even opt to climb Big Daddy, one of the tallest sand dunes in Namibia.
  5. View Rhinos from a Private Wildlife Hide
On the private Ongava Reserve, we visit an exclusive wildlife hide, accessible only from our camp, where we have the chance for a close-up encounter with the area’s healthy population of resident rhinoceros – a rare opportunity!
  6. Small-Scale, Secluded Accommodations
We stay at remote luxury camps on private reserves where guest numbers are strictly limited – meaning a truly authentic, immersive experience of the bush and its resident wildlife. Each accommodation we use also includes a private veranda for each tent or chalet, to maximize personal wildlife viewing opportunities.
  7. Private Chartered Flights for Convenient Transfers
We charter our own private aircraft to make your connection between Namibia and Botswana easy and seamless, rather than making you double-back through major airports on commercial aircraft, losing precious safari time in the process.
  8. The World's Finest Safari Guides
Our guests enjoy the personalized service of some of Africa’s top naturalist guides who are specialists in the Namibia and Botswana. We employ only the most highly trained and experienced Safari Expedition Leaders to accompany our small group. Rather than using local camp guides at each stop, our NHA Expedition Leaders are the most qualified guides in Africa, averaging 15 years' experience, with additional training and resources provided by WWF’s leading scientists. Our philosophy on this is simple: an African safari is only as good as the guide, so we must provide the very best! See Expedition Leader bios with traveler comments regarding the quality of our leaders.
  9. Our Quality-Value Guarantee Ensures Your Superior Southern Africa Safari
With Natural Habitat Adventures, you receive our exclusive guarantee, which clearly states that we will meet the lofty expectations we set in our promotional materials. To our knowledge, this is the most ambitious guarantee made by any adventure travel company. Read our important promise.
  10. Feel Good About the Way You Travel
We care deeply about our planet, just as you do. When you travel with us, the carbon emissions from your trip are 100% offset – Natural Habitat Adventures is the world’s first carbon-neutral travel company.
  11. Natural Habitat Adventures is WWF's Travel Partner
Because of our commitment to environmentally friendly travel, as well as the exceptional quality of our adventures, World Wildlife Fund – the world's leading environmental conservation organization – has named Natural Habitat as its worldwide travel partner, a designation that makes us exceedingly proud!
