Approximately 14 Travelers
On our trips we generally have the smallest group size in the industry (overall avg. of around 8 travelers) but on this trip we have arranged for a slightly larger group to take advantage of several safari vehicles, all in radio contact, searching for the migration. This gives us a better chance to witness this spectacular event.

Our Specialized 4 X 4 Safari Vehicles
As with all of our adventures around the world, our focus is on wildlife and nature viewing and in Africa a big portion of that is performed during our wildlife drives. In Tanzania our safari vehicles are specially-adapted, reinforced, roof-hatch Land Cruisers seating 4-5 travelers each, all in window seats. The custom-installed Volvo bucket seats have superior quality spring cushions and adjustable lumbar support for incomparable comfort. Since each row has its own roof hatch, and sits slightly higher than the row in front of it, all guests enjoy excellent viewing opportunities. With no middle seats, there is plenty of room for gear and extra leg room. Refrigerators/ice boxes keep drinks cool for our guests and an on board library of bird and mammal books offer insight into the region’s natural history. As is the case with all of our vehicles, these safari trucks are enhanced with specialized suspensions to ensure the most comfortable ride possible in the wilds of Africa.

Included
Internal light aircraft flights, accommodations, all meals from dinner Day 1 to lunch on final day, non-alcoholic drinks at camps, with meals, and in vehicles, house alcoholic beverages in camps, services of NHA Expedition Leader, local guides and camp staff, some gratuities, airport transfers on Day 1 and final day, permits and entrance fees, and all taxes.

Not Included
Travel to and from start and end point of trip, premium alcoholic beverages, some gratuities, passport and visa fees, optional activities, items of a personal nature (phone calls, souvenirs, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes, optional travel insurance, and required medical evacuation insurance.

Physical Requirements
Easy
Our walking activities are usually short and optional. We do, however, recommend that travelers who participate in these programs be of an adventurous spirit, as they will often enjoy the very closest of animal encounters and safari vehicles can sometimes offer a bumpy ride.

Important Information
Your safari game drives take place in the highest quality, 4-wheel drive Land Cruisers, providing up-close encounters that cannot be accomplished in typical safari vans. This is a very important feature of our safaris. These vehicles have roof hatches which provide a full 360- degree view of the game. Since every passenger is guaranteed a window seat, you are assured you will have plenty of space for wildlife viewing and taking photographs.

Getting There & Getting Home
You must arrive in Arusha, Tanzania by 6pm on Day 1 and you may depart from Arusha after 5pm on the final day.
