Wild Madagascar
An in-depth exploration of this global biodiversity hotspot
Trip Overview
-
Encounter some of the earth’s most unusual and unique life forms on this isolated island
-
See lemurs in the wild, fascinating primitive primates found only on Madagascar
-
Help save Madagascar’s critically threatened forests and wildlife through ecotourism
Madagascar is a world apart. Its forests are home to indri indri, diademed sifakas, aye-ayes, tenrecs, fossa, didiera and pachypodia. For even the best-traveled naturelover, Madagascar offers a kaleidoscope of discoveries. In fact, many of its rare and intriguing plants and animals, like lemurs, exist nowhere else on earth. Once part of a super-continent, Madagascar broke away from that
landmass 100 million years ago and has existed largely in biological isolation since. More than 80 percent of its native species are endemic, making Madagascar a living time capsule. Come with us to discover a continent you
never knew existed.
