Live Virtual Event: How Travel Can Protect the Planet
Did you know the very act of travel – if you do it right – can contribute to the protection of wild places and endangered species for generations to come? Join us for a special live event exploring conservation travel, which imbues value to natural habitats, bringing economic benefits to local communities and inspiring them to protect and sustain natural resources and the wildlife that relies upon them. Our panel features three conservation travel leaders: Jim Sano, WWF’s Vice President for Travel, Tourism & Conservation, Ben Bressler, Founder & President of Natural Habitat Adventures, and Court Whelan, Nat Hab’s Director of Sustainability & Conservation Travel. They’ll be joined by several naturalist Expedition Leaders who will share inspiring examples of how travel has helped to protect polar bears in Canada, wolves and grizzlies in Yellowstone, and wildlife in Africa. You’ll discover how you can become a vital force for conservation when you join our trips to places like these. Learn why WWF partnered with Nat Hab in 2003 to bring the power of travel to bear on wildlife conservation—and how you can be part of this success story! Since your health is our priority, we’ll also share the steps we’re taking to help you get out into nature safely. A live Q&A session will follow the presentation, with time for your questions.
