India’s Wild Cats: Meet All 15 Species

When you think of big cats in the wild, you may picture Africa, with its lions, leopards and cheetahs. But did you know India has a greater diversity of wild cats than anywhere else in the world? Find out why there are 15 feline species living on the Indian subcontinent, whereas the entire continent of Africa supports just 10 cat species. Join our webinar for a virtual immersion into the worlds of the tiger, leopard, Asiatic lion, lynx, caracal and other wild cats that roam India’s diverse wilderness ecosystems. Expedition Leader Surya Ramachandran gives a detailed look at the different habitats, behaviors and secretive lives of these 15 elusive felines. Surya will share stories and insights drawn from his years of experience as a naturalist, photographer and safari guide. You’ll also learn about the conservation issues facing India’s wild cats and the progress being made to protect them.
