Throughout the history of the earth, flora and fauna have adapted over millennia to their ever-changing environments—and by doing so, they have interacted with one another as well, evolving when and where necessary in order to survive and thrive. Enter Homo sapiens, one of the first species that, in addition to adapting to a changing environment, began to adapt their environments to benefit itself. In today’s Fireside Chat, the third of the three-part Sapiens series, Rich and Matt discuss how H.sapiens has altered the planet into the world as we know it: How have we shaped our environment? How have we put ourselves at risk through our actions? They’ll share some inspiring conservation success stories and examine what we must do to ensure not only the survival of our planet, but the survival of our species.
