Bison of Yellowstone: The Wild History of America's National Mammal

The story of bison in Yellowstone National Park gives insight into the prehistory and early settlement of the west, our evolving attitudes to wildlife management in national parks, and the current relationship between national park wildlife and neighboring towns. It's a compelling story about how we view wildlife, what is, in fact, 'wild,' and how much the west has changed. Expedition Leader Sophie Mazowita will use the bison as an entry point to discuss broad themes of wildlife management and conservation throughout the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and the other wild characters that bring that ecosystem to life.
