In Seattle, Tom began working for a boutique travel agency, where he found his travel and writing background was a perfect match for the travel industry. For 4+ years, Tom helped guests plan trips to Antarctica, the Arctic, and Alaska, all the while developing a keen sense of how sustainable tourism plays a key role in conserving our precious natural wonders. After taking a break to travel and volunteer in Africa -- where he visited nine African countries, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekked to see mountain gorillas, and tracked wildlife on the Masai Mara -- Tom is delighted to resume his travel planning career with Natural Habitat Adventures.
When he’s not helping guests plan their trip of a lifetime, Tom can be found hiking, climbing, and camping in the Pacific Northwest. An avid photographer, Tom never leaves home without his trusty camera!
