Karla Malo
Karla ventured abroad for her senior year of high school to Louisiana in the U.S. and later immersed herself in an Asian Studies Program in Japan during college. She earned her B.A. in tourism and management from San Francisco University before returning to her roots. In 2005, she became a Galapagos National Park Naturalist Guide, embracing the role with a deep understanding of the islands’ unique environment. She joined Natural Habitat Adventures as an Expedition Leader in the Galapagos in 2022.
Living in the Galapagos is a privilege Karla never takes for granted, cherishing a profound connection with the islands' nature and wildlife. As an Expedition Leader, her greatest joy comes from being outdoors and imparting the enchantment of the Galapagos to others.
