Abner Simeon

After high school Abner worked his way up the ladder at lodges across Namibia, starting as a handyman while angling for the knowledge and expertise to become a guide. His dream came true in 2014 when Amarula Eco-Training and FGASA in South Africa sponsored his training. He has since earned the highest levels of guide qualifications. He has worked at many wilderness camps across Namibia, and while exploring his country he has learned a lot, growing his passion for sharing the importance of conservation. This is particularly important to him regarding local youth, including Children in the Wilderness, with whom he shares his knowledge and insight during time away from guiding.
During his free time, Abner loves making music and spending time with family and friends. He is a keen photographer who loves nature and says, "I go crazy about the wild and that’s why am working so hard with Nat Hab to work with communities and conservation so we can save our nature and wildlife. I know we have a lot of people who want to save the planet, and and if we work together we can make it possible."
