Hailing from the land of crab cakes and football, Lindsay grew up in Maryland, where she filled her childhood days playing sports and getting outside whenever she could. For college, she headed further south to the University of Virginia where she studied business and played lacrosse for the ‘Hoos. Afterward, she headed north to conquer the big city, New York, working in finance and philanthropy at the start of her career.
During this time, she was first bitten by the travel bug, embarking upon her first adventure- and nature-focused trip traveling to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro and partake in her first safari. Craving a change to an environment more aligned with her interests, she left the stability of a corporate career to move in to the start-up world, working for an active-minded and mission-driven obstacle course endurance run company based in Brooklyn, and traveling in the U.S. and abroad whenever she could.
Lindsay’s wanderlust grew and grew, and she and her fiancé decided to embark on a year-long, round-the-world backpacking adventure, exploring nearly every corner of our amazing planet. In total, she has visited 80 countries (+ Antarctica), 40 states and all seven continents. Her favorite destinations to date include Antarctica, Botswana, the Galapagos Islands, South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, Norway, Vietnam, Switzerland, Italy, Jordan, scuba diving the underwater world and pretty much any U.S. National Park, coastline or mountain.
Following her long-term trip abroad, Lindsay landed again stateside, settling in the incredible state of Colorado. With a passion for travel and love of nature and wildlife destinations, she made the natural leap to join Natural Habitat Adventures as an Adventure Specialist, which allows her to share her passion for travel and help others plan life-changing adventures to the world’s greatest nature destinations. When she’s not traveling or planning her (or your!) next adventure, you can find Lindsay running and hiking in the mountains, trying new recipes and exploring all that beautiful Colorado has to offer.
