Brooke Frarck

A Colorado native, Brooke grew up in Fort Lupton, a small farming town northeast of Denver where her family raised chickens, sheep, goats, pigs and cows. Her grandfather always had a feathery sidekick around and was keen on showing his grandkids how to treat animals with love and respect. As a child, Brooke spent time camping, fishing in streams and exploring Colorado’s national forests. She also spent many summers visiting family in northern Mexico where she learned Spanish, fell in love with Mexican cuisine, and developed a strong connection to her Mexican roots.

Brooke was the first person in her family to graduate from a four-year university, attending the University of Colorado Boulder on a full scholarship from the Daniel’s Fund, where she majored in Spanish language and literature. She went on to earn a master’s degree in education and taught middle school English/Language Arts at the same school she attended as a youth, teaching alongside some of her own former teachers. Developing an interest in educational leadership, Brooke moved into a district position helping teachers develop curriculum and assessments and providing professional development opportunities for teachers and staff. In 2018, following the completion of an Ed.S. degree from the University of Northern Colorado, Brooke joined the Colorado Department of Education as the Charter School Institute’s School Programs and Equity Initiatives Manager, deepening her understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion.

In search of new ways to share her knowledge and learn from experts beyond public education, Brooke opted for a career change, becoming  Nat Hab’s Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager in 2022. She hopes her influence will have an impact at a global level, recognizing that Nat Hab offers opportunities to promote equity initiatives worldwide.

Outside work, Brooke enjoys exploring Colorado and its food scene with her husband and four children, as well as traveling and experiencing different cultures together. The Mayan Riviera is a favorite vacation spot, where they enjoy swimming with sea turtles, snorkeling, exploring the cenotes, learning about history through touring Mayan ruins, and indulging in tacos. Her travel wish list includes the Galapagos, Greece and a European culinary tour. You'll also find her at the hockey rink watching her son play, with much of her free time spent traveling to and from games and tournaments. Brooke and her family are huge Colorado Avalanche fans, and their house is full of hockey trinkets and mementos.
