Luis was born in the riverside town of San Ignacio, Belize. From a young age, he pursued adventurous endeavors that immersed him in nature near his beautiful hometown. His love of nature and adventure spurred a desire to study guiding and led Luis to earn a naturalist guide license, which he has put to use while guiding groups for the past 10 years. He enjoys utilizing the expansive knowledge he has about his country to socialize with travelers and to share the wonderful and amazing things that Belize has to offer.
Luis enjoys rock climbing and spelunking, especially because these activities require higher levels of training including swift water rescue and confined cave rescue. Luis speaks English, creole and Spanish. When he isn’t educating or adventuring with travelers, he enjoys spending time with his wife and lovely, young daughter.
