Nat Hab Wins Prestigious Sustainable Tourism Award
International luxury travel network Virtuoso has announced Natural Habitat Adventures as the 2015 winner of its prestigious Sustainable Tourism Leadership Award!
The award recognizes Nat Hab's leadership and commitment to sustainable tourism principles and practices, including our innovative partnership with World Wildlife Fund, our pioneering of conservation travel, carbon offsetting via our Carbon Pollution Reduction program, the introduction of the planet's first hybrid safari truck, and support of local communities through Natural Habitat Philanthropy.
The Virtuoso Awards allow travel industry peers to recognize each others' accomplishments. The network’s travel providers vote for agencies and advisors, while agency members vote for preferred suppliers. In 2015, Virtuoso received more than 12,000 votes from advisors and suppliers.
"Virtuoso’s selective acceptance process means that only the world’s top travel professionals are part of our network," said Virtuoso Chairman and CEO Matthew D. Upchurch. “Because of that, the peer-to-peer Virtuoso Awards are an especially valued industry recognition."
