Ngurdoto Lodge

Set in an 8-acre garden just a few minutes away from Arusha National Park, Ngurdoto Lodge offers spectacular views of Mount Meru and Ngurdoto Crater as well as the snow-capped dome of Kilimanjaro. An excellent starting point for safaris to Tanzania's iconic wildlife destinations, the lodge offers accommodations in seven spacious bungalows built in the traditional round Meru style with conical thatched roofs. Each has an en suite bathroom. One bungalow is a two-bedroom unit with central lounge and fireplace and can be equipped with additional sleeping facilities to accommodate families with children. Two rooms in the main lodge are also available. The lush grounds include a large garden with shade trees and a swimming pool, and a vegetable garden that provides fresh produce for the restaurant. Excellent home-cooked meals also include dairy products from the lodge's own stock. Internet access is provided, and laundry service is available. The lodge is located on the doorstep of Arusha National Park, a hiker's paradise filled with abundant variety of wildlife.
Rivertrees Country Inn

Conveniently located halfway between Kilimanjaro and Arusha airports, Rivertrees offers a peaceful respite before or after your safari. This TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner, situated among 10 acres of lush vegetation on the Usa River, was formerly a coffee plantation and has been beautifully transformed into a serene boutique hotel. The original farmhouse was refurbished to become the main lodge, while the adjacent buildings, including the stables and coffee factory, have become accommodations that combine Old World colonial elegance with rustic African ambience. For those seeking seclusion and personal attention, put your feet up at this country estate as you drink in the views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Guests have a choice of accommodations, all en suite: Four Garden Rooms open onto expansive grounds. Some rooms adjoin, allowing friends or families to stay together. Two spacious River Cottages are sheltered beneath a forest canopy at water's edge, with atmospheric features including an outdoor rain shower, wood-burning fireplace and deck overlooking the river. And, for the party that wants the utmost in privacy and luxury, River House offers a thatched hideaway with spacious living area, wraparound veranda and two double bedrooms, shaded by an enormous ancient fig tree. 

Rivertrees’ lively restaurant and open kitchen serves gourmet country cuisine using fresh farm vegetables, fruits, and herbs grown in gardens on the premises. Meals are enjoyed in the restaurant, at the bar, al fresco in the dappled shade, on the river deck, or in the artfully restored farmhouse, surrounded by warm ochre colours and cherished family antiques. In keeping with the restful environment at Rivertrees, the spa offers a soothing treatment involving all the senses. Guests follow a personal therapist down the meditation walkway to slow the body and mind. Once inside the outdoor massage banda, swathed in mosquito netting and adorned with flowers, savor a Swedish massage followed by a soak in a deep bathing tub, accompanied by the sounds of the river gently rolling past just beyond. 
Arusha Coffee Lodge

Arusha Coffee Lodge is an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate before or after your safari. This exclusive boutique hotel radiates the warmth and ambience of the old colonial homes historically distinctive to East Africa's coffee plantations. Accommodations are in individual plantation-style houses lavishly designed with glossy hardwood floors, canopied four-poster beds, Egyptian cotton linens, large bathrooms, split-level living room areas, and a private deck patio overlooking the coffee bushes. Laze around the swimming pool, stroll through the landscaped gardens and absorb the fragrant aroma of lavender. Enjoy a sundowner before the open log fireplace at the Safari Bar, then unwind with a quiet drink in the lounge after a delectable meal. Luxurious accommodations, warm hospitality, fine cuisine and intimate ambience will delight the senses of even the most seasoned traveler.
Legendary Lodge

Located on the outskirts of Arusha among lush tropical gardens and surrounded by a working coffee farm, Legendary Lodge offers deluxe accommodations with magnificent views of Mount Meru from the colonial main house and eight individual garden cottages, each with private veranda. The cottages blend vintage colonial-style luxury and African arts and crafts with modern comforts, including a lounge with fireplace, king-size bed, en suite bathroom with tub, shower and a full range of amenities, and a complimentary mini bar and fruit basket. Wake-up calls are accompanied by a cup of tea or freshly brewed coffee from the estate, followed by a buffet of fruits, cereals, pastries and full English breakfast option. Enjoy a soothing massage or facial at the on-site spa, or, if time permits, work out at the nearby recreation center with full gym, steam room, pool, tennis and squash courts and running track.
