Group Size
Limited to 13 Travelers with Two Expedition Leaders
An important feature of our Switzerland adventure is the limited group size, as nature expeditions are best experienced with fewer travelers for a more peaceful and personalized experience with less impact.
Specialized 4x4 Land Rovers and Land Cruisers
Our Private Leaders
Included
Accommodations, meals from lunch on Day 1 to breakfast on final day, drinking water throughout the trip, services of Nat Hab Expedition Leaders and local guides, airport transfer on Day 1 and on the final day, most gratuities, all permits, entrance fees and taxes.
Not Included
Travel to and from start and end points of trip, alcoholic beverages, some gratuities, passport and visa fees, optional activities, items of a personal nature (phone calls, laundry, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes (if any), required mandatory evacuation insurance, optional travel protection insurance.
Physical Requirements
Moderate to Difficult
This adventure does not require a particularly high degree of physical fitness. The included hikes are easy to moderate in terms of physical exertion. However, please be aware that hiking is one of the main activities on this trip, with two or three excursions per day taking place at altitudes of 6,000-10,000 feet above sea level. In order to participate, travelers should be able to walk unassisted for at least 3 miles at a time over rough terrain, and both up and down steep and sustained inclines, with some gain and loss in altitude required in certain locations. The group may do multiple hikes during a day, with total distances exceeding 5 miles. Travelers should also be aware that our itinerary includes several cable car and cog rail journeys, which may be daunting for anyone with a fear of heights. In some cases, these modes of transportation are necessary to reach our meal locations or accommodations, and we can't make alternate arrangements. Our days generally start quite early and are very full with activities, including a few long drives or train trips. Note that all hikes are completely optional, and travelers should only participate in those activities in which they feel comfortable. While travelers are not required to participate in all activities, should a guest opt out of the day’s scheduled activities, we cannot always guarantee that alternatives will be available. Those travelers who would like to take longer or more strenuous hikes may have opportunities to do so.
Important Information About This Trip
Mandatory Insurance
Since the areas you will travel to on this trip are remote and wild (that's why we go there!), we require medical evacuation insurance for this program. If you decline the medical evacuation insurance coverage offered by Natural Habitat Adventures, we require that you send us documentation of the independent coverage you have selected. We recommend that your chosen independent insurance plan includes at least $250,000 in medical evacuation coverage. Please note that we will add the cost of Natural Habitat Adventures' medical evacuation policy (currently $48 per person) to your tour invoice until you provide our office with proof of coverage including your insurance company's name, phone number and your individual policy number. Thank you for understanding that our policy exists exclusively in the interest of our guests' safety.

To protect your investment and to provide peace of mind while you travel, we also strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. Plans may cover everything from medical treatment to trip cancellations and delays and lost luggage. Please contact our office if you would like more information about the medical evacuation and comprehensive travel insurance policies we offer by calling 800-543-8917.
Getting There & Getting Home
We recommend that you arrive into Zurich, Switzerland by 8 am on Day 1 in order to join your group for the mandatory welcome presentation and transfer to St. Moritz. We recommend departing after 10 am on your final day, from Geneva, Switzerland.

We can best serve you if our Natural Habitat Adventures Travel Desk makes your reservations, as our staff is intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient travel. Please call us at 800-543-8917. Note that while we offer you the best possible rates available to us on airfare and additional nights' accommodations, you may find better fares online.
