COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Requirements for Greenland
This information applies to East Greenland Arctic Safari trips.
To Join Your Trip:
VACCINATIONAs of January 1, 2022, all guests will be required to be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated guests should upload their vaccination card to their Adventure Portal prior to departure. In addition, you should travel with your original vaccination card.
TESTING
No pre-trip test is required by Nat Hab for fully vaccinated guests to join their trip. All Nat Hab guests are required to test negative on a COVID-19 test, which Nat Hab will facilitate, at the start of their trip. Before you depart, we also recommend taking a COVID-19 test. After all, no one wants to travel halfway around the world and then test positive! Please note that you are responsible for knowing the requirements in place for any countries you are transiting through en route to your trip destination.
During Your Trip:
TESTINGTo increase safety on our trips and add another layer of protection for all guests, staff and partners, Nat Hab will be facilitating a rapid antigen test on Day 1 of your adventure prior to meeting the group. Your Expedition Leader will provide more details upon arrival. This will be at no additional cost to you.
In addition to Day 1 testing, everyone will test the morning of Day 4 to ensure we are all healthy before we head out to our remote camp.
To Return Home:
TESTINGStarting June 12, 2022, a negative COVID-19 test to re-enter the U.S. is no longer required. If you booked a test with the testing center in Keflavik or Reykjavik, please cancel and request a refund. This government mandate is reevaluated every 90 days. If you require a COVID-19 test for your home country or onward travels, we will be happy to help direct you towards online resources for obtaining the required test, though you will need to arrange and pay for the test on your own.
To cancel your appointment:
You must cancel your booking at least 48 hours before it is scheduled to take place by emailing: covid@oryggi.is
For a refund to be processed, individuals need to submit:
- Location, date and time of the appointment
- Full name
- How many appointments are there to be refunded
- Exact date and time of payment
- Last 4 digits of the used card

FLIGHTS
Some airlines, depending upon the country you are departing from and/or the country you are connecting through, may require a COVID-19 test prior to your flight’s departure. Please be sure to research your airline’s requirements for your specific flight routing. If you will require testing, please let our Adventure Concierge team know prior to departure so they can direct you to online resources to book your own test.
We also recommend double-checking your on-board mask requirements with the airline you are using to travel abroad.
