Group Size
An important feature of our Quebec adventure is the limited group size, as nature expeditions are best experienced with fewer travelers for more intimate and authentic nature and wildlife encounters. When we travel with eight or more guests, we are joined by two Expedition Leaders, for the best guide-to-guest ratio you'll find! And when we are at seven or fewer guests, we still tap local guides that allow us to divide up for varied activities and to accommodate differing physical ability levels.

Physical Requirements
This adventure does not require a particularly high degree of physical fitness. However, please be aware that hiking is one of the main activities on this itinerary, and guests will get the most out of this experience if they are able to hike at least 3 miles at a leisurely pace with frequent stops. The hiking portions of the trip will be mostly on unpaved and uneven terrain, with some inclines. Guests should be able to navigate tree roots, rocks, occasional high steps, and potential shallow stream crossings. The ability to hike at least 5 miles and up steeper terrain will allow access to more dramatic overlooks and vistas.
Participants must be able to get into and out of rigid inflatable Zodiac rafts, which can be very unsteady as one is entering or leaving rough water. You must also be comfortable changing positions in a moving Zodiac while out on the water. Weather permitting, there will be opportunities to participate in optional canoeing excursions. Though no prior canoeing experience is required, general fitness and mobility, including the ability to get into and out of a canoe, are essential.
While travelers are not required to participate in all activities, should you opt out of any of the day's scheduled activities, we cannot always guarantee that alternatives will be available.
