Truffle Pigs Lodge
Field, British Columbia
Established in 2008 but celebrating a much older heritage, built next to a former Canadian Pacific Railway siding, Truffle Pigs Lodge is located in Field, BC just down the rail line from Kicking Horse Pass and the famous Spiral Tunnels. Its location on the edge of Yoho National Park ensures easy and prime early morning proximity to the park's spectacular natural attractions. The welcoming, family-run post-and-beam lodge features just 12 rooms, with rustic mountain atmosphere and magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. Rooms have two queen-size beds with log or wood headboards, in-floor heating, flat screen satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. While there is no air conditioning at this mountain altitude, each room has a fan for cooling on warmer summer days. The renowned Truffle Pigs Bistro preceded the lodge, offering an eclectic menu of gourmet pub fare and a popular gathering space since 2000.
