Conor's Adventures

At home in Colorado, Conor loves taking trips up into the mountains to hike and go on hut trips with friends. One of Conor's favorite campsites in the Sierra Nevada in California.Conor joined his buddy Adam (left) for the New Hampshire section of the Appalachian Trail, which Adam was thru-hiking. They averaged about 15 miles a day over some of the most rugged terrain in the US.Getting up close to the wildlife at Elephant Nature Park north of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Conor visited the country and selected this preserve as the community service element for a trip he developed for high school students.Sporting a sweet mustache, Conor and a colleague biked from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzerland and then from Carcassone, France to Barcelona while re-scouting a 4-week bike touring trip for Overland.Walking through the town of Pisac, Peru, trying to find a place to sleep. One of Conor's favorite trips is when his dad joined him in Peru to visit the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.Conor's all-time favorite campsite in a mountain range northeast of La Paz, Bolivia. The site was located above 14,000 ft. and Conor and a friend hiked to the peak in the upper right of the photo the following morning. It was real hard but the views were spectacular and made even more special since the only other creatures they saw were llamas for three days.Conor and Adam tackled Huayna Potosi in Bolivia and were the only two (besides their guide) to summit the 6,088-meter peak that day. Everyone else turned back because of the snow.Awed by the salt flats outside Uyuni, Bolivia.Conor and his girlfriend on a private junk in Halong Bay, Vietnam. Waking up surrounded by the mystic fog-shrouded islands and kayaking throug the small caves and inlets was amazing.Angkor Wat, Cambodia. Sunrise here was pretty cool but he recommends checking out the less-visited temples nearby.Conor on the famed Slickrock trail in Moab, Utah, with some friends. In the highlands above Otavalo, Ecuador, on a short hike. In the background is the volcano Imbabura and San Pablo lake.Donning his gringo hat, Conor enjoys an off day at the beach at Tortuga Bay on Santa Cruz in the Galapagos.Conor with two of NatHab's best South America guides, Zapa (left) and Roberto Plaza (right).Conor at Perito Moreno glacier outside El Calfate, Argentina. You really have to see it for yourself to get a sense of the enormity of this glacier.Conor at a viewpoint high above El Chalten, Argentina, where you can see both Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. He was super lucky to have a bluebird day with no wind for this self-guided hike. Conor had the chance to travel to the Galapagos with his mom in 2014. It was so special to be able to share the magic of the islands for a week with her.
