Amanda's Adventures

Hiking the dunes in Sossesvlei, Namibia.Rainbow over Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.Learning to pole a mokoro at Pelo Camp in the Okavango, Botswana.Exploring magical Machu Picchu.Learning about the colorful weavings of the Lake Titicaca region of Peru.Paddling on the Amazon River in Peru.I often get asked, ‘what’s your favorite destination’, and it’s a very difficult question to answer… but I definitely have a strong pull to Botswana! There’s just something special about a Botswana safari and being surrounded by remote wilderness and wildlife.Sea kayaking in bonnie (beautiful) Scotland was all-around fabulous. But by far the highlight of the trip was being surrounded by a large pod of porpoise! No visit to Botswana’s famous Okavango Delta is complete without a fun mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursion. Scotland holds a very special piece of my heart. It is by far one of the most beautiful and welcoming places I’ve ever been. And it’s absolutely jam-packed with fun outdoor activities! The Great Migration is a spectacular site, and to see it from a hot air balloon is pretty incredible. It’s hard to top the joy of being on safari in Tanzania, but interacting with some of the children in a local village was absolutely a highlight of my trip!Victoria Falls is pretty impressive all on its own, especially after the rainy season, but viewing it from a microlight flight really kicks it up a notch!Playing with the friendly gray whales of Baja was one of the most unique and amazing wildlife encounters I’ve ever experienced, truly unforgettable!
