Alexandra has a bachelor’s degree in tourism and an MBA in marketing and has been working in tourism since 1991. She is passionate about sharing the natural treasures of her native Ecuador with visitors, especially the Galapagos Islands. Alexandra believes that educating visitors through conscientiously practiced tourism is one of the keys to protecting her country’s biodiversity and natural environment. She believes that when people experience the magic of Galapagos and understand its fragility they will be motivated to help with its continued protection. As a guide, she is noted for her friendliness and patience and is adept at imparting a strong sense of the Ecuadorian culture to her guests.
