Natural Habitat Foundation
The Natural Habitat Foundation is the charitable arm of Natural Habitat Adventures, the world’s premier nature travel company. At Natural Habitat Adventures, we believe in the brilliance of our planet, and the need to protect it. We believe travel has the transformative power to benefit communities, protect wildlife, and preserve culture heritage. NHA’s commitment to conservation and sustainable development has led us to take even greater steps to ensure success in this realm – by founding the Natural Habitat Foundation. The Foundation acts as a natural extension of the company’s conservation ethos, creating opportunities for deeper engagement and stewardship with our host communities and environments.
The Foundation works in destinations where wildlife is abundant but threatened – places like northern Canada, southern Africa, and the Galapagos. These regions, among our world’s leading wildlife destinations, are constantly in need of support to ensure the animals are protected and the communities are thriving. The Foundation’s projects aim to assist locals in wildlife management and biodiversity protection through education, youth support, and community empowerment programs.
At Natural Habitat Adventures, we believe it is our duty to do all we can to contribute to the ongoing success of our hosts – the animals and people alike. After all, our travelers have experienced so much inspiration and enjoyment from the natural world -- the Natural Habitat Foundation is our way of giving back to our planet and its inhabitants.
The Natural Habitat Foundation’s administrative costs are wholly funded by Natural Habitat Adventures, so 100% of the donations we receive go directly to the projects we support. A portion of each Natural Habitat traveler’s trip cost is donated to the Foundation, so simply by traveling with NHA, you’re supporting the wildlife and people in the destinations we visit. For more information on our projects or how to get more involved, email us at foundation@nathab.com, or call Ted Martens at 800-543-8917.
