Botswana offers an experience of Africa as it used to be. Far away from tourist crowds, we find the wonders that drew adventurers to the continent decades ago. Vast herds of elephants still roam the acacia-studded savannah. Antelope, giraffes and buffalo thrive in the wetlands of the Okavango Delta and at watering holes that sustain life on the dry plains. Lions laze beneath mopane trees, an icon of a wildness vanishing too quickly in the contemporary world. Classic tented African safari camps offer luxuries reminiscent of a nostalgic era in the African bush. It’s all still here, on our small group secluded Botswana safari.

A very important feature of this African safari is the limited group size as a guided tour is best experienced with a small group of travelers. Our Botswana safari includes an off the beaten path trip to the Zambia side of Victoria Falls. It’s a secluded, adventure travel expedition unlike any other.

Accommodations, all meals from dinner on Day 1 through lunch on the final day, all local alcoholic beverages and soft drinks (French champagne and all other brands of premium liquor are extra), charter air while on the safari portion of your trip, transfers on Day 1 and the final day, NHA's professional Expedition Leaders, gratuities for camp staff, permits & park fees.

Not Included
Travel to and from starting and ending point of trip, gratuities for Expedition Leader, hostess and mokoro paddlers, passport and visa fees (if applicable), items of a personal nature (souvenirs, phone calls, etc.), airport and government taxes (if applicable), and required medical evacuation insurance.

Physical Requirements
Easy
Our walking activities are usually short and optional. We do, however, recommend that travelers who participate in these small group, guided tours be of an adventurous spirit, as they will often enjoy the very closest of animal encounters.

Getting There & Getting Home
You must arrive in Livingstone, Zambia by 3pm on Day 1 and depart Maun, Botswana after 3pm on the final day. *Green Season Dates. During Green Season, photography and game viewing is wonderful as mother ungulates give birth at this time and the lush landscape provides a spectacular backdrop for game viewing. On these trips changes to the itinerary may occur in order to take advantage of conditions unique to the season.
