Classic Antarctica Expedition
Small group expedition to the Last Frontier!
Trip Overview
Should you be unable to participate in our scheduled cruise to Antarctica, Natural Habitat Adventures can arrange for you to join other departures aboard a selection of independently operated ships. We recognize that different people have different tastes and, after having been on an enormous number of ships, we selected this collection to provide our guests with the best Antarctic expedition possible. We encourage you to call one of our Adventure Specialists to have us help you determine which ship might best suit your needs.
Our small group journey to the “White Continent” offers an in-depth exploration of the incomparably beautiful Antarctic Peninsula and its surrounding islands and waterways. The sights, sounds and emotions of the Antarctic region will stay in your mind forever – enormous tabular icebergs, hillsides covered with thousands of penguins, and the excitement on deck as someone shouts, “Whales!” We travel with a team of top adventure travel Expedition Leaders, naturalists, geologists and polar experts. Their knowledge will enrich your observations and understanding of this remote wilderness. Included Accommodations as indicated, all meals, all shore excursions and sightseeing, transfers to and from group flights, taxes and service charges. Boots and parkas are provided on some voyages.
Not Included International air transportation, optional extensions, visa and immigration fees (if applicable), travel insurance, items of a personal nature, and gratuities to ship's crew at your discretion.
Physical Requirements Easy/Flexible Our cruises to Antarctica require light walking (one mile) but can include long walks and hikes as well as kayaking and camping on certain departures.
Snow Hill Emperor Penguins — New Trip! It is rare that mankind discovers something new in nature! This newly found rookery of thousands of emperor penguins provides a select few travelers with a rare chance to walk among these remarkable animals. Fees and dates to be determined.
