Hidden Alaska

A small-group Alaska adventure to the state’s best wildlife spots!

Trip Overview
  • Encounter grizzlies up close at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park
  • Cruise among icebergs and marine wildlife on a private yacht in Kenai Fjords
  • Overnight at a deluxe backcountry lodge deep within Denali National Park

While superlatives strive to convey the grandeur of Alaska, they never quite manage to capture the reality. Our “Hidden Alaska” trip does, though. We take you far afield from the heavily touristed routes to get you up close to the real Alaska: To the inner heart of Denali. Alongside the face of a calving glacier. At river’s edge, watching giant brown bears fish for salmon. This is Alaska “less discovered”: bigger, wilder, more amazing than you’ve imagined. You’ve got to see it for yourself.

Location of Adventure
Alaska

Group Size Limit: Approximately 13 Travelers
A very important feature of our trips is the limited group size, as nature expeditions are best experienced with smaller groups of travelers. Our Alaska group tour is no exception.

Included
Accommodations, all meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 13 (dinner on our stopovers in Alyeska and Anchorage are excluded to provide you with a flexible schedule), services of Nathab’s professional Expedition Leaders, R/T air Anchorage to Brooks Lodge, small-boat cruise on Kenai Fjords, kayaking at Fox Island, land transportation by bus and train trip from Denali to Talkeetna, airport transfers for those arriving on Day 1 and for those departing on Day 13, and all taxes and service charges.

Not Included
Travel to and from starting and ending point of trip, gratuities, beer, and liquor at hotels and lodges, dinners on our stopovers in Alyeska and Anchorage, items of a personal nature (phone calls, laundry, etc.), travel insurance, optional activities such as rafting and flightseeing.

Physical Requirements
Easy to Moderate / Flexible
The activities on our Alaska group tour are diverse. Although the longest walk required is one mile (to the falls in Katmai), longer walks and hikes are available for those who choose to enjoy them. We stress that travelers are not required to participate in every activity.

Getting There & Getting Home
Arrive in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Day 1 of the program for a 7:00 p.m. dinner orientation. You are free to depart Anchorage anytime on the final day.

Grizzlies: From Kodiak to Katmai
A ship-based adventure from Kodiak to Katmai to view grizzlies up close! Walk the shores as coastal brown bears actively pursue salmon in tidal pools.

Orcas & the Inside Passage
An exciting exploration of the wildlife and natural history of the magical and awe-inspiring Pacific Northwest!
