Beluga Whales & Arctic Wildlife of Churchill

Meet Northern Canadian Wildlife Up Close on Our Summer Tundra Expedition
L. Heron
“There was a great variety of things to do with beautiful walks and fun kayaking, and it was all wonderful and very educational. The wildlife viewing was quite great, and the entire trip a true success!”

B. Nitta
“This trip fulfilled our wish to see Churchill again in a different season than our polar bear trip. The whale watching from the Zodiac was spectacular, the skies were endless, and our group was happy and fun!”

I. Whitney
"I enjoyed the Zodiac rides with the whales. I loved the train trip! I would do that again. We had plenty of time to explore wildflowers and bird watch. The varied activities on this trip was great. And of course the small group size was great as well."

L. Kamau
"This was my third trip to Churchill, a village I like very much. I will probably go again. The train ride was fun! I had a great time and met nice people. Seeing so many belugas was a thrill and seeing the tundra and boreal forest in the summer was fascinating. Nat Hab is a terrific organization and everything is done right!"

C. Anderson
“Rarely do I give EXCELLENT ratings. However, our Expedition Leader was about the BEST tour guide I have ever had, and I have taken many trips with other organizations.”

W. Beardsworth
“Everything was organized and well executed – There was something to do and something to see, every moment of each day.”

J. Walsh
“Not only did the belugas and their newborn calves swim right up to the boat, they turned their heads and looked me in the eye. Wonderful!!”

B. Hemmen
"Sue was an excellent guide. She kept the entire trip flowing and made sure everyone was well taken care of. I've been on at least one tour a year over the past 16 years with different tour companies and this is my first with Natural Habitat. After traveling with Sue and seeing how wonderful this trip turned out, I plan to do many more trips with Natural Habitat Adventures. This trip actually greatly exceeded my expectations. It was one of the best run tours that I've ever been on and Sue and Rhonda made the trip extremely enjoyable. I expected to see quite a few baluga whales, but my expectations for the wildlife that I could possibly see was exceeded as well. We saw hundreds of beluga whales over the period of time that I was there and had 7 polar bear sightings including one that was fairly close to the polar rover. We had a number of birders on our tour and Sue and Rhonda made sure to point out all the different bird species that were around. I'm an amateur birder and this greatly helped me."

J. Smyth
"Sue was always ready with information, knowledge, details, and multiple options for all the people in our group. She was a pleasure to travel with - she has studied all the aspects of her job and does them very very well. It is clear that she has great relationships with all the local companies she works with in Churchill. The rapport she shares with each traveler - caring about what they want to see and do - cannot be undervalued. Her relationship with Rhonda is positive and supportive leading to an enhanced experience for everyone. Our local guide, Rhonda, was the best EVER! She was so knowledgeable, caring, professional, and funny. The trip was truly excellent because of her and her positive relationship with everyone in town and our lead guide Sue."

K. Carroll
"This trip exceeded my expectations in many ways... the wildlife viewing was incredible; our guides were knowledgeable, fun and entertaining-- we all laughed alot! The train exceeded my expectations of how to make such a small place so useful!"
