Botswana: Kalahari, the Delta & Beyond

On This Green Season Safari, Lush Grass Draws Prolific Wildlife & New Babies Abound!
K. Bogart
“The baby animals at this time of year were darling. The nightly lightning and thunderstorms were a great addition! I enjoyed the beauty of the African bush and seeing it in the wet season is SO different than in the dry season!”

J. Moncrief
"We loved the Botswana trip. We said a lot about how wonderful Francis was when we filled out our evaluation, but wanted to add that the Safari Coordinator, Botha, was excellent. She also knew so much about the wildlife and could identify the birds by their calls. She made sure that we were comfortable and entertained us when she joined the camp staffs singing and dancing. We loved the happy music in each camp. The variety and quality of the food was wonderful. I’m surprised we did not gain weight. The camp amenities met all of our needs and having the tents so open to the scene made us feel like we were part of the landscape. Even monkeys bouncing on our roof was a pleasant memory. We appreciate the choice of camp sites. They gave us an overview of the different ecosystems in the country and were all beautiful and close to the animals. The fact that we seldom saw another vehicle when we were on drives made the viewing of the wildlife very special. The coordination among the guides let us see so much, yet kept us secluded. The pace was perfect, and the flights gave us so much more time with the animals. Seeing Victoria Falls and the white rhinos at the last camp was a perfect ending to the trip. Thank you and Natural Habitat for giving us such a wonderful adventure."

"I've traveled with many companies throughout my 70 years and I'd have to say that Thuto was far and away the BEST guide I've ever had! What an amazing young man he is. He's knowledgable about the ecosystems, animals, plant life, birds, history of the country and people, AND he's kind and fun to be with on a daily basis. Amazing!"

P. Harmon
"Natural Habitat is the only company I will go with on a nature trip. I am a wildlife artist, so I go to see the animals and your guides are the best in the business. This is my second trip with Nat. Hab. And it won't be the last! Our guide Thuto was the absolute best, an absolute wealth of knowledge, fantastic personality and made an excellent trip into one beyond compare. I can't say enough good things about him - he was terrific. All the staff were outstanding! Food was excellent and beds were really comfy!"

B. Rosenstiel
"It was a privilege to stay inside Deception Valley, so close to the action. It allowed us the unique chance to enjoy long morning and afternoon game drives and see animals and behaviors that others miss."

P. Marron
“This is the first time that I repeated a trip, choosing the same exact itinerary. When I traveled to Botswana in January 2009, I came home saying it was my best trip ever. This was due to the excellence of the destination, accommodations, and guides, as well as traveling with like-minded adventurers. It happened again this time. There is something very special about Botswana and I hope to return again.”

K. Futter
“Day by day, Francis continued to impress us with his varied areas of expertise. He was a kind and caring person. We felt like cherished family members instead of clients. As we have experienced on all our trips with NatHab, all expectation were exceeded!!!!!”

J. Cranco
"I loved most the magic of Botswana and being out in the bush away from the world for 12 days. I never knew at any second what magic would show up...our days were filled with blessings and adventures constantly. There was a level of professionalism and excellence at every camp and with everyone we met..This was just remarkable. Thank you to each of you there who made this trip possible. I have been telling everyone about the trip and about Natural Habitat Adventures. Keep doing what you are doing. It was an honor and a privilege to be part of this magical adventure."

C. Gay
"It did not meet my expectations. It exceeded my expectations by about 100%. I thought it would be great. I didn't know it would be life changing.  Loved getting a complete experience. So much more than just taking pictures of Hippos. Came away in love with Africa. Dave just made the trip! I can't imagine a better guide! We learned so much. And in the wild you are literally trusting the guide with your life. I felt completely safe at all times. He was fun. He knew everything. He help me get great photos. He never failed to position the land rover so everyone could see, everyone could get their photo, and the light direct was flattering for the leopard. Just amazing!"

J. Smyth
“The Kalahari was amazing. Herds of oryx and springbok in the hundreds, lots of lions (10 in total including a huge male and four cubs), meerkats, honey badgers and cheetah. All this in green grass and wild flowers! Little Vumbura: lions roaring under a full moon and walking 2 feet away from us, great general game here. Savuti: Wow... leopard hunting catfish in the swampy grass, two cheetahs swimming across the water, lions roaring near us, 2 lion cubs and mother near the vehicle playing with each other, 4 wild dogs killed impala and were eating between the rooms! Loads of elephants and general game.”

C. Allen
“This was the trip of a lifetime and I wish everyone could experience it. I learned so much from our guide; his depth of knowledge on the animals, birds, flowers and plants was mind-boggling! I felt extremely safe under his guidance and I put my trust in him completely and never regretted it. The accommodations were also outstanding. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and did not receive the level of service that I did on this trip. The food was very, very good and nicely prepared and presented with something for everyone.”

M. Ewing
"We prepared ourselves for comfort, but the accommodations were much more than we expected. The warmth of the staff members at all of the camps was a much appreciated bonus. We thought the best thing about our trip was having Brooks as our expedition leader. He was always courteous to us and to everyone he came in contact with. His knowledge of mammals, birds, and African history was most impressive. He is warm, funny, serious when he needed to be, and the main reason that we all felt that the Botswana / Zambia trip was our best vacation ever. We enjoyed every minute of our trip and will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives. We feel so lucky to have only positive feelings about everything NatHab."
