During our trip we are based at four different accommodations, each with its own character and style. In Edinburgh, our accommodation is set in the heart of the city's historic Grassmarket, only a short walk to the cobblestone streets of the Royal Mile, and each room offers majestic views of Edinburgh castle.  In Oban, we stay on the waterfront in a prominent 3-star hotel. In Cairngorms we stay in a sleepy village with mountain views and enjoy the hospitality of a 4-star traditional stone-built hotel in classic Highland style. On the Isle of Harris, the Hotel Hebrides in the tiny village of Tarbert provides contemporary elegance.
