Lemala Ngorongoro, a luxurious tented camp set within an acacia forest on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, is the perfect place from which to experience the crater's wonders. Lemala guests benefit from its quick and easy access into the crater via the less-traveled Lemala access road, a mere 15-minute descent, maximizing wildlife viewing time. Often, the first hours of a morning game drive are absorbed in solitude in the early morning light before others arrive.

Each of the camp's nine spacious tents has 24-hour solar lighting, a gas heater, comfortable beds with warm duvets, wooden floors with rugs and en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and a large safari-style shower. Complimentary laundry service is also available. In the evening, enjoy a drink around the campfire before heading in to the dining tent for an intimate dinner beneath the chandeliers. The mess tent is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, classic rugs, lamps, chests, book shelves and corner cabinets in old wood. The camp works closely with the local Maasai community, members of which often offer dances and talks on Maasai culture, traditions and ceremonies, an engaging way for guests to learn more about their traditional lifestyles.
