In wild tiger country near the entrance to Ranthambore National Park, Dev Vilas is a deluxe hotel set within 3-1/2 acres of natural surroundings, built in late 19th-century Indo-Saracen style to resemble a traditional maharaja hunting lodge. Its spacious rooms are individually decorated in an array of colors and styles. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with stand alone shower and bathtub, air conditioning and cable television, and Internet is available. Fateh’s bar features tiger-themed paintings by artists from the Ranthambore School of Art. The elegant yet informal dining room showcases lithographs by John J. Audubon and serves fine Indian and continental cuisine. Al fresco dining is available on the terrace by the pool. Situated in a eco-sensitive zone, the hotel responsibly uses recycled water for non-consumable plantations on its property. The building has also been designed to harvest all rainwater and re-charge ground water using a traditional storage system.
