Rhoslyn Anderson

Rhoslyn was born and raised in Homer, Alaska. Growing up on a property in the woods overlooking Kachemak Bay, she always felt connected to nature, from building forts in the yard and climbing massive spruces to gorging on wild berries with her sisters. She saw many of Alaska’s splendors with her family, who wanted her to know and appreciate the land they called home, on visits to Denali, Kenai Fjords and Prince William Sound. Rhoslyn has traveled throughout mainland Europe, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Her travels began as a child on trips to Scotland to visit extended family. As she grew, Rhoslyn developed a love for Spanish and spent ample time traveling and studying in Spain.

Rhoslyn obtained a bachelor’s degree in global and multicultural studies with minors in Hispanic and religious studies from Montana State University in Bozeman. She has worked primarily in the hospitality industry, providing her with a keen understanding of how to exceed guest expectations. In 2022, she joined Nat Hab as a Regional Operations Coordinator for Alaska, and she has since taken on the role of Field Staff Facilitator.

Rhoslyn is a dancer and dance instructor. At the age of 9, she put on her first jazz shoes and has danced jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary ever since. Dance is food for her soul, and she doesn’t ever plan to stop! During the pandemic, Rhoslyn moved from Manhattan with her husband to her hometown of Homer to start their family. They now have a wee girl, Illyah Thistle Anderson, who will grow up with a similar appreciation for her environment.
