Emily’s love of adventure and travel is an inherited gene. She was born to a French-speaking Belgian mother and a New Jersey father (the accents in her family are amazing!). Even though she grew up in small-town Maryland, her family was always on an airplane heading somewhere exciting. Summers were spent traveling all over Europe or whatever new places her mother discovered in the Michelin guidebook. Her favorite adventures have included: trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, running up the Acropolis, hiking glaciers in Alaska, trudging through the Amazon, sitting among colonies of penguins in Antarctica, and of course sunbathing on the French Riviera. Her Belgian citizenship and fluency in French have opened many doors in her travels. A few years ago (ok make that ten years), Emily moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado, where she majored in business marketing and snowboarding. She joined the Natural Habitat Adventures’ crew as an intern and upon graduation begged for a job. When she’s not playing with the Nat Hab website, Emily can be found wandering the halls of the Nat Hab office in spandex, training for triathlons, and of course searching for her next pair of fancy pants!
