Corocora Private Wildlife Camp
Los Llanos, Colombia
Small and intimate Corocora Wildlife Camp is a unique Colombian safari camp that's private for our groups. This remote luxury tented camp is located on the wetland savannas of Los Llanos, a region marked by some of Colombia's highest wildlife concentrations. It includes just four individual sleeping tents and a social tent, all situated for privacy alongside a small river and the forest. Each spacious tent is adorned with fabrics and handcrafts from different regions of Colombia, showcasing the country’s artisans and captivating cultural diversity. Sink into premium bedding under a rechargeable fan, and your en suite bathroom includes a flush toilet and running shower. Each private terrace has lounge chairs and a traditional hammock, while the social tent provides a comfortable seating, a cocktail bar, a natural history library, bonfire pit, board games, hammocks, and indoor and outdoor dining tables. The camp chef emphasizes ingredients sourced from neighboring communities and local markets, and uses techniques and traditional recipes from Los Llanos and other regions of the country to showcase a gourmet twist on the finest Colombian cuisine. Every afternoon, enjoy sundowners with premium wines and liquors from the bar. Dinners are served communally inside the social tent, or by the bonfire. With a commitment to leaving a light footprint and making a lasting difference on the landscape, Corocora Wildlife Camp funds conservation projects to protect vulnerable wildlife in Colombia by working with local foundations and communities, implementing sustainable practices and collaborating in research projects. With the use of solar panels, water filtration systems, compost and recycling programs, and biodegradable, lightweight materials, the camp produces minimal waste and makes a low impact on the environment.
