A Guided Nature Safari Through the Most Beautiful Corner of the Pacific Northwest!
M. Ozner
“Melissa Scott is unbelievable. Her knowledge and expertise with the mammals and birds is incredible. It is one thing to know the species but to be able to imitate their calls was amazing. She is so thoughtful of all the guests and went out of her way to include everyone. Of all my trips with all the different companies she is definitely one of the best. I will look for her as a guide on future trips. Did I mention how funny and
appropriate she and her stories are?? I was a single traveler and never felt alone. Thank you Melissa. We were very fortunate with the weather and the whales. The lodging was beyond expectations Every place was unique Food was excellent and usually too much. We went for special
hikes and walks each morning, even if other guests did not participate."

“This trip was just right... an excellent mix of hiking, photography, sailing, kayaking and whale watching. It was all just fascinating!”

"We have had many guides in many places so we know high quality when we see it. Melissa is one of the very best we have ever had. Her sense of humor, wit, and knowledge were all excellent, as was her efficiency. Also, if she didn't know the answer to a question, she would find it. We enjoyed everything, but the highlight was probably the afternoons on the boats, watching the orcas."
M. Kuppenheimer
"You have a real treasure in Melissa. We have been lucky enough to have traveled with her 3 times. She is patient and sensitive to everyone’s needs – physical and emotional. She is an incredible resource, full of information about the area’s history, culture, geology, plant and animal life. She shares this knowledge easily and informally. She has obviously researched the entire area and bent over backwards to expose all of us to a rich variety of experiences. We loved the variety – from whale watching, to visiting a fish hatchery to learning of the area’s history."
P. Marron
"Melissa ranks up there with the best guides I have had. She had a handle on every detail of our trip, and shared a great deal of knowledge of the area we visited and the wildlife we viewed. I love the size of the travel group. One of the reasons I choose NatHab is that you experience unique destinations with a small group, helping the whole adventure to move easily."
A. Moor
"I met Melissa in Churchill last year and she was not my leader but paid attention to everyone. This time round I was fortunate to have her as my leader and words can not explain how professional she was, attention to all traverlers and the knowledge she gaves us all on this trip. She kept everyone's sprits up as the week went on on both boat trips to see the orcas and when we finally did she was amazing. Thank you! There was nothing i did not enjoy, everything was met to my expectations or more."
C. Moser
“Just a quick note to express my appreciation for what you did on our trip. Your passion for where we were, what we were seeing and what we were doing transformed this skeptic! I was in awe of the forest at Moran State Park, captivated by the mystery of orcas, even if they didn't put on a display of propelling themselves through the air, and I can't stop talking about the clam/mussel shell disposal area and the 14,000 year old bison anticus skull! And so Melissa, thank you. I hope I have the opportunity to experience another Nathab adventure with you in the future."
M. Krause
“Melissa was an outstanding guide. Her knowlege of the wildlife, marine life and history of the area was amazing! She is the most amazing naturalist I've had on a trip. She kept astounding me with her wealth of knowledge. Lynette was also the greatest. She handled the logistics of baggage and reservations for meals and driving the van to "pick-up places". She is also very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. They were the BEST! enjoyed looking for the orcas and the kayaking. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The accommodations were FABULOUS!! It was a hard decision to make..................stay in the room and enjoy it or go on the tour."
S. Rosenberg
"As always, our leader was terrific. She (as do all her NHA colleagues) make you feel like your trip and the group she's currently leading is the best one she's ever led. Nothing is ever too much trouble. All of this, while being professional, knowledgeable about every possible plant and animal, and fun to be with. Whale watching was probably the most exciting part of the trip. We also enjoyed several good hikes. And, the places we stayed were delightful -- much better than we book when we're traveling on our own!"

Studies suggest that two-thirds of the world’s polar bear population could be gone by 2050. And if current warming trends continue unabated, WWF scientists and other researchers believe that polar bears may disappear altogether within 100 years. WWF is intent on preventing this from happening.
