Luggage Restrictions

Some of NHA’s trips have enforced luggage weight restrictions for our guests’ comfort and safety. Many of our vehicles have limited space and when traveling in light aircraft, overweight conditions create a serious safety hazard. Baggage exceeding specified limits is subject to being left behind or forwarded to the ending point at your expense. “All carry-ons” includes camera equipment. Please pack lightly and follow the guidelines in your Pre-Departure Briefing.

The following trips have luggage restrictions: Alaska: 70 lbs*; Yellowstone Departures: One piece of luggage; Seal Watch: 40 lbs if flying; Costa Rica: 25 lbs*; Amazon & Machu Picchu: 66 lbs; Panama: 25 lbs; Peru & Peruvian Amazon: 66 lbs; Ecuadorian Amazon: 30-33 lbs; Galapagos: 44 lbs; Secluded Botswana: 44 lbs; Expedition Botswana: 44 lbs; Secluded South Africa: 44 lbs; The Great Botswana-Namibia Safari: 44 lbs; all Southern Africa Independent fly-in safaris: 44 lbs; Best of Namibia: 26 lbs.; Kenya & Tanzania: 33 lbs; Tanzania Migration: 33 lbs; Uganda: 33 lbs; Madagascar: 44 lbs; China: 44 lbs; New Zealand: 44 lbs; Spitsbergen: 44 lbs; India; 55 lbs.

*Limits on these trips may be for only a portion of the itinerary. Other flights may have restrictions of which we are currently unaware. These limits are frequently changing beyond our control.
