Natural Habitat Safaris—The East Africa Experts
Natural Habitat Safaris is built upon the Charleson family’s lifetime of safari guiding with an uncompromising focus on conservation and quality of experience.
Based in Nairobi, Natural Habitat Safaris is managed by Gillian and Joe Charleson. Born in South Africa & Kenya respectively, Joe and Gillian have built respected careers in professional safari guiding and luxury hospitality throughout various parts of Africa.
As an owner-operated safari company, keeping it personal is what it’s all about. The Charlesons are intimately involved with every aspect of our operations, dividing their time between Nairobi, leading safaris, and running Leleshwa Camp, our flagship camp on the edge of Kenya’s famed Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Utilising their combined years of experience, intimate knowledge and passion for the African continent, they head a small team of safari specialists dedicated to working directly with you to ensure that your safari experience is exceptional in every way.
If this is your first trip to Africa, or you're returning to experience more of the depth and diversity that East Africa offers, we are there to inspire you. Whether you’re planning a family safari that educates and excites, a honeymoon steeped in the peerless romance of Africa, or simply the adventure of a lifetime, we believe wholeheartedly in interactive experiences that create indelible memories. At Natural Habitat Safaris we have it all covered.
With our own private camps, a portfolio of luxury boutique lodges, top-quality vehicles, highly trained and personable safari guides, and the on-the-ground support of our East Africa office, our guests are assured unmatched excellence in product and customer service.
